In the beginning there was the Word of God, Christ Jesus the Father’s only begotten son, from the dawn of eternity full of glory, power, and love.
For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things are held together. He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence. For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him, and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
Colossians 1:16-20, WEB
When we don’t merely serve the God of our appetites — we walk in the presence of the Word made man, the very logos of the universe, unconditional, and omnipotent.
The level of power of the very being of God, regardless of the person of God, is terrifying and humbling. Even if all of the words in the world were ascribed to the Son of Man… there would not be enough, and some would just be downright untrue, such as saying that God is evil.
God is not evil, nor can he use it, per his nature… which is because of his unchanging choice to be the standard of love and goodness.
If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?
Psalms 130:3, WEB
Imagine if there was a world… where God was truly evil. And the very substance of his logos was destruction. Imagine a being omnipotent, and sovereign where the greatest evils we could imagine and have done over the many thousands of years, when compared to it… would seem tame.
It’s hard to do so, isn’t it?
Thank God that’s the case, for he is the Just and the King of Righteousness.
Yet, there is a being who by pride in his heart over his created nature, and now once held position of excellence in power, aspired not to be like God, but to be God. Indeed, being aware that such a venture was a futile thing.
Why I wonder….
I presume he abandoned reason. He abandoned the Word, and the Word himself promptly cast him out of heaven… perhaps even with tears, for he was as a morning star. Beautiful, and at one time holy indeed, if only at the first seconds of his creation.
He sits on the ground in sullen form and anger.
How to face the ashes of his sentence? Here… dealing with the pangs of hunger for the holy things he was created for, and yet now cannot even enjoy or partake of, even if such a thing or person be in his presence?
I presume this was his conclusion.
If he could never be the Word (thank Christ Jesus that he cannot ever be)… he could be the word of his own mind, and create the fantasy of divinity through manipulation of the angelic powers and human realms.
Join me! Taste of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and you shall know all. You shall be like God.
Be as God? Such a putrid and stupid idea.
God doesn’t rest and writhe among justly given ashes as bedding.
Lies and deceit are the trademark of this beast. Lying from the beginning.
Many a soul buys into this kind of self-idolatry, and most of the time it is subtle in presentation, just as the serpent is.
To be drunk with the power of a self-encompassing kingdom of the imagination is as the knowledge of good and evil, for we create and destroy in the landscape of the mind.
Is not God the throne of life and consciousness? By which humanity’s collective consciousness and the individual consciousnesses of people are seated therein?
Our very souls reverberate with the soul of our maker, though not always with the fullest submission to his….
Word.
Our fantasies and desires do not always resonate with the divine reason (logos) and divinely living, constantly manifesting reality (rhema) of his nature and character.
Indeed, God being the light knows darkness even beyond Satan’s own ability to imagine, yet he abides not in it.
Satan even choosing to be a word unto himself desires Christ-like subjects to play to his fantasy of being God over God.
To do so though… he must act as the one that he hates to trick people. He must emulate truth to bait the hook.
He must act as the Word.
Not in character, but in prominence.
There is irony in this.
For when he speaks like our thoughts to be subtle, and tries to emulate the begotten of God, he further loses any unique character he once had, further delving into the chaos of his hunger, and bearing within himself the due consequences of his error.
Oh, how nauseating it must be.
How offensive to this serpentine narcissist to act as someone other than himself, yet he can get nothing without imitating others.
He only hates God for deep within the logos (framework) of what he was designed for still yearns for the fruit of what humility once availed unto him.
“If I do that though I can no longer be THE word unto myself!”, the great fool he is may say unto himself.
We can say this to him.
In Jesus’ character and name, I say to you truly… you will find one day that all your subjects will forsake you. Every creature in heaven and earth will forsake you, for Christ is the Word made flesh –the Logos, with the Rhema of the Spirit proceeding through him as the gift of heaven unto the children of men, and even the lost stars of heaven.
“You will only eat of dust and ashes”, our Father once said to this fallen seraph.
Still true when one is a mere wisp of a word unto himself.
His heart sneers… saying “I will be the greatest word!”
Jesus steps in and says,
I am the First and the Last word. You can never uncreate me, for I am the Lord. I am… here forever enthroned as king over all and you. For “Behold, all souls are mine.” Ezekiel 18:4, WEB
He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning, and the End.
And indeed… all that was made was made through him.
And for the past, the present, and the future forever… his is the only Word that matters and will forever reign.
The Word Himself.
Blessings.
